RASPBERRY BASIL MACADAMIA WAFFLES

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 2 Tbsp. wheat germ
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. orange zest
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. all-spice
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup Green Valley Lactose Free Vanilla Yogurt
  • 1 Tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup macadamia nuts, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh basil, finely chopped

Directions:

Heat waffle iron; coat with cooking spray. In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, almond flour, wheat germ, baking powder, orange zest, cinnamon, all-spice and sea alt; whisk together.  Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Transfer mixture using a ladle to a hot waffle iron sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.  Repeat process.

Serves 4.
