Crunchy Fall Apple Crisp

A salute to the beautiful fall season with just seven simple ingredients. The Granny Smith apples add just the right amount of tartness topped with oats, pecans, and a little brown sugar for the perfect crumble. This warm crisp made with wholesome ingredients free of lactose and gluten is a comforting dessert everyone can enjoy. 

Green Valley Creamery

4 medium-sized Granny Smith apples

½ lemon – juice only

4 Tbsp. light brown sugar

4 Tbsp. pecan halves

4 Tbsp. Green Valley Creamery Lactose-Free Butter

4 Tbsp. old-fashioned, rolled oats (gluten free)

1 tsp. cinnamon

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350F. 
  2. Peel and cut apples into slices and distribute evenly in four medium-sized, flat ramekins. Sprinkle apple slices with lemon juice. 
  3. Add sugar, pecans, butter, oats and cinnamon to the bowl of a food processor and pulse approx. 12 times until mixture is coarse and well combined. 
  4. Use your hands to sprinkle crisp mixture evenly over the apples in the ramekins. 
  5. Bake for 30 minutes until apples are soft and crisp has turned golden brown. Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream if desired.
