A salute to the beautiful fall season with just seven simple ingredients. The Granny Smith apples add just the right amount of tartness topped with oats, pecans, and a little brown sugar for the perfect crumble. 4 medium-sized Granny Smith apples
½ lemon – juice only
4 Tbsp. light brown sugar
4 Tbsp. pecan halves
4 Tbsp. Green Valley Creamery Lactose-Free Butter
4 Tbsp. old-fashioned, rolled oats (gluten free)
1 tsp. cinnamon
- Pre-heat oven to 350F.
- Peel and cut apples into slices and distribute evenly in four medium-sized, flat ramekins. Sprinkle apple slices with lemon juice.
- Add sugar, pecans, butter, oats and cinnamon to the bowl of a food processor and pulse approx. 12 times until mixture is coarse and well combined.
- Use your hands to sprinkle crisp mixture evenly over the apples in the ramekins.
- Bake for 30 minutes until apples are soft and crisp has turned golden brown. Serve warm with a dollop of sour cream if desired.
