Why did you add guar gum to your 6 oz. vanilla yogurt?

Guar gum is all natural and is sourced from guar beans [a drought resistant legume]. It has thickening and stabilizing properties that are useful in food. We added it to our vanilla yogurt to give it a thicker texture.
